Received 2 month extension for my tourist visa.

scott1953
Did my 36 month mandatory exit from the country on  March 20th  2022. Came back a week later, March 26th  from Guam and was given a 30 day free tourist  visa stay. Then i did a 29 day visa  extension  that expired May 24th. Went in to BI yesterday for a 2 month extension and was granted stay until July 24th. Reason i went in a week early was BI has a sign posted to renew your tourist visa 1 week before it expires. Total cost for 2 month extension plus a renewal of my ACR card was 7,182.00 Php's. When i asked if i will be able to extend another 2 months on July 24th she asked me my age and if i was a first time extender. I told her i am 69 and i have been a previous extender. She said i will be able to extend for 4 more month when i come in in July. So it looks like i will be able to stay again through the 36 month current law if it does not change with the new administration coming to power soon.

@coach53 Special cases that apply only to specific countries like the visa waiver progrsm applicable to several countries (issue visa at airport) and allowable extensions are not affected by this bill, I believe The bill keeps intact those programs according to the latest information i gleaned from online vloggers, two of whom initially believed as youare saying but changed their view after consulting with experts and reading the bill myself. The intent of the bill is not to obsolete any current legislation. I believe nothing changes with regard to the extensions or other specific orders such as the balikbayan 1 year visa waiver privilege.

- @ibusan1046                   Hello Busan,  Although i can not answer for a British citizen requirements , I do believe British are like Americans and get a 30 day automatic free  30 day tourist visa upon entry and should have no problem extending it  to the max. 36 month total. But you never know of any new changes in immigration  law with a new administration coming in soon, I figure the Philippines will welcome foreign tourists  again for the dollars they desperately need to recover from the covid  lock down.
