Narcissistic appears to be a new word in your vocabulary and it seems the meaning hasn't sunk in. Try and google the meaning of: Humility, Honesty, Hate, Homosexuality, Heresy, hypocrisy, hedonist, Hierarchy, the list goes on and that was only "H".

...Next time do ensure you spend more time to get to know the girls parents (I definitely would even if I'm not getting married just yet) & find out what they have been doing for a living & in their overall responsibility towards the upkeep/wellbeing of the family.

This topic is for people who understand or have survived a Narcissistic Personnality Disorder , and how the Filipino Culture can hide there unatural extremely Passive-Aggressive behavior , even in an entire family, and can come to believe that it is a normal life, when it is toxic, because thay are trap in a Narc realitity
If this topic, survive, it have in it some unique "google algorithm" that will make foreigner like filipinos, come in this forum even if this topic become ignored, it will still be continued to be seen, because Philippines right now don't believe in Westerner Psychology.

I will come back time to time, to see the history of these people that will post maybe in months or years later, if they have there destroyed heart in the mood to do it.

But I have to ask - are you a psychologist?  Exactly what qualifications do you have to diagnose an individuals personality traits, much less those of an entire culture?  Man, we have all had bad relationships, been manipulated, or taken advantage of at one time or another. It's part of life, and we have to learn from it and move on. I hope for your own sake that you can let it go.

I have talked with a psychologist, I have talked with some relative of my wife, I have talked with a group in Philippines that begin to recognize Narcissist for what it is, we are all agreeing about it. In western countries, we can say by statistics that a % of the population have that disease.
Some psychologist even say, that it can go between 5-10% of a total population.
Even China have done Brain scan on them.

If I was putting all of our private conversation with my psychologist in here, the post would be censured, and I'm not against an "entire culture", but I want to see if a culture can hide the narcissistic disorder, because of the lack of knoweldge about it.

The fisrt "step" for "moving on" it is to talk about it, and not being shamed by it.

Absolutely. That's your personal issue to deal with and we all have them. But they don't belong on an open internet forum, especially when expressed in a manner that denigrates and stereotypes certain individuals or groups of people, not to mention the good people of our host country.

I as an out spoken member here, sorry for that etc. believe even more posts should be removed on this post/topic, perhaps mine also. I agree with Priscilla and pnwcyclist that this is an open forum that certainly has rules, they are there for a reason. Derogatory collectives against a race, religion, sexual orientation, political views, banging ones own drum (woe is me), trolling...... read the forum doctrines.

Only an observation but perhaps the psychologist are there for a reason? An expat forum will bring many and varied opinions but will not rub ones back to give comfort nor solace.

I would personally ask that the powers that be, to consider locking this thread as it's not in any way in the interests of members here and shows a bad example to the Filipino people, our hosts, the country we choose to live in.

Sounds like FaceBook,  people get barred and never get a reason, if you click on their Bot it suggest one reason is you TOS (violated their terms of service)
