(OMO) President Duterte is doing a 'wonderful' job in keeping things as they are, with his VERY limited resources and knowing full well of the severe consequences to the economy/and the way of life in general!

I don't always agree with him but I believe that President Duterte is doing the best he can, facing an uphill struggle, especially when people do not adhere to the ECQ. Many urban areas in the Philippines are very crowded, making social distancing difficult if not impossible, In addition, in squatter area there are not adequate failities for personal hygiene, especislly basics like hand washing with soap. It will be difficult to contain.

Yep not so good in the Philippines.

But better than the US and the UK:

Increase of infected per day: Philippines: 3.8%, USA: 5.29%, UK: 4.69%

Death rate of those infected: Philippines: 6.4%, USA: 5.29%, UK: 13.2%

Percentage of population infected: Philippines: 0.01% USA: 0.21%

UK: 0.16%

Daily life in the Philippines is only one notch below Pre-Corona. The thousands of low paid jobs will not return. The higher paying jobs, which are not much better than the low pay jobs can return if the strangle hold is removed.

Over one million Filipinos work in call centers servicing most American firms.
