Shipping Philippines to USA

I am allow two pieces of luggage of 50 lbs (22.5 Kg) and a carry on included with my ticket.

I have two oil paintings my mother painted, I sent both of  them to the Philippines  via Balikbayan Box's.

My shipping box back to the states would exceed the 60" in lateral size allowed by United Airlines by several inches.

I've been searching the web for shippers and have received quotes of almost 50% of my airline ticket.

I don't want to remove the paintings from the frames and roll them up.

I'm not in a hurry so I have no problem shipping by sea. Has anyone used any service shipping from the Philippines?

Bob, just a tip, though you might already know this.

In the event you must remove the paintings from their frames and roll them, make sure you roll them with the paint on the outside. Rolling a painting will cause micro cracks in the paint, but by rolling them paint-side-out the cracks will come back together once unfurled. I learned that from an art dealer in Toronto many, many years ago and it has served me well.

Good luck with the move, sir.
