Planning a long visit. Medical insurance. Who do you use?

Hello everyone,

UK here, 52M. Hypertension runs in my family and I just got diagnosed. Thankfully its pre-HT so I can still take action (meds, diet, exercise).

Anyway, I want to stay in the Philippines for at least 6 months. A scouting trip to get a feel for where to retire. Most of the time will be spent in Iloilo.

I would be grateful if the expat crowd on here could share who they use for medical cover. Would also appreciate any accounts of what it was like if you made a claim. Any other advice would be most welcome :-)
