British Scoundrels

Peter Clark

5 years ago we had a guy arrive with Filipino wife whi told us he was from Quernsey yet had a strong cockney accent.

Everyone liked him, he opened a bar restaurent closeby with music and barbecue steak grill. His wife opened a cafe place at the side of the lake selling Chilli concarne and it was popular. The guy had managed a bar in Angeles and so successfully that he was given a larger bar to look after

He met his wife in a bar.

One day. ....he was gone?

We were asked if we knew where he was because he owed a lot of money to suppliers.

The local beer and spirits bussiness closeby were owed 140,ooo pesos. The construction was also asking for his whereabouts

The new car he arrived in was hired fron a neighbour, their rented house rent was never paid.

Imagine our embarrassment.....also English.

Since then we have learnt that the couple have served time in Prison but the money owed was never rwcovered.

The owner if the beer and wine bussiness is Milas friend and ex school mate, she said her bussiness couldn.t withstand a loss of 140ooo.

The guy was such a nice bloke........

They're always nice guys because no-one provides support incl lending money to slimy shitbags. I worked in child protection and every paedophile I met was a top bloke - same phenomenon
