yes thats is indonesia. Thats here a problem and also motorbikes they are very unpatient and they yake the footh path! the problem is there are no policemen on the street to give the people a ticket.

Those policeman is only for escort rich people thru the traffic without other people

You should go to HCMC, or Hanoi, you would be happy being back here in Indonesia.

well i find it stupid there is no police on the street only police to escort VIPS and of course for money!!

Why return to Canada? Was that because your contract ended or because of the lack of sidewalks in Depok? When I decided to live in Indonesia Depok was never on my list of places to live. Here in Bandung there are lots of sidewalks and many of them covered shaded by trees. During the past year or so very many of the sidewalks here have been improved as well as many road surfaces, something that is common in Indonesia before local elections. Also the pace of life is more like a large town than a city. Here we do have policemen on the streets but mostly at busy junctions during rush hour or at police boxes.

However, when I chose to live or work in Asia it was because it wasn't like back home in the UK. I mean I love the 'rawness' or different lifestyle of living here and if I weren't happy then I'd just move to another town or city or even another country, but I wouldn't want to go back to where I came from.

I love Indonesia with a passion, but hate the roads.

Drivers are poorly trained, most never think past their front wheel, and the roads are commonly poorly built and maintained.

However, we have to remember Indonesia is a developing country, and the last 15 years have seen massive improvements.

Jokowi has done an awesome job. Pity he has to go.
