Marriage process in Rabat

I am getting married in April I'm from UK and my wife to be is Moroccan.

I see often on this site many things about marriage and often I'm thinking what the hell they on about, so simply this is my short experience.

1.....make sure you get every bit of paperwork you need and get copies.

2.....Get your paperwork translated to Arabic in Morocco it will cost at least 600mad.

3.....make sure you book holiday for 2/3 weeks has its a long boring process of government offices.

4.....some offices you go into alone so learn a little Moroccan.

5.....if you have a police check take all dates of schools and your work, even family names, yep it did all this.

6.....bring plenty of money, paperwork is not cheap.

7.....if your none Muslim then longer processes, will help to do Shadah (spelt wrong).

8.....be prepared to wait many hours in several places.

9.....get a good Adoul.

10.....it costs many Mad so be prepared, try not to give everyone original documents when you leave each office, has you won't get them back
