Dentist in Grand Baie

Nigelhoppy

Just wanted to share this great dentist I found  in Grand Baie !

Absolutely fantastic experience visiting this clinic. Dr A*** is fantastic and very skilled.

I am visiting from the Uk and it’s so difficult (& expensive) to find a good dentist or even get an appointment there.

I needed two fillings and repairs to two cracked teeth, I had the 1st done last Tuesday and it was so quick and painless that I booked in for the second one also today.

I can 100% recommend Dr A*** and his brilliant team, Anjili on reception was so lovely and even recommended some fantastic places for us to eat in Grand Baie. (We tried a few which were excellent!!)

Don’t hesitate to come here for treatment even if you are just visiting Mauritius, and expect to pay a fraction of what treatment costs in the UK!!  Thank you, I really appreciate the fantastic service.

Hello and thank you for your feedback.

Could you please recommend this professional in the business directory : https://www.expat.com/en/business/africa/mauritius/ ?

In all fairness, we tend to keep the forum free from any kind of promotion.

P.S I have sent the contact details to Estelle in private message

Thank you in advance

@Bhavna hello if I click on the link you provided and search for the dentist I’ve recommended- I can’t see any “recommend” button - so not sure how I go about doing this ? Thanks

You can find also a very competent and professional dentist in Port Louis :

dr Vincent Ng Sing Kwong.

He has a dentist degree from France

Before going to any dentist in Mauritius make sure you check the dentist if you are not from Mauritius.Look up at the recent case of 42 years old Bibi Bappoo from Port louis, who lost her life in Mauritius last year due to dodgy dentist and anaesthetist..****

I heard this case,

but as you know, in any surgery (dental or other), there is risks and this is wherever you are.

I think that for people coming from abroad, they stay here few weeks and want to optimize everything..

I recommend dr Ng Sing Kwong qualified in France and good professional.

But now, wherever you are it is better taking time and doing things partially by asking for local anesthesia..

@Admin: Why has this been flagged as misinformation.?

Sorry but you dont know the half of it.It is easier to say every surgery has its downfall which is different to medical negligence. The dentist involved in this case was also educated in France.

Yes, I only know that the woman came in Mauritius to extract 4 dents de sagesse in one time with a general anesthesia with a dentist and anesthesist, both with large experience.

In this case, before asserting the existence of fault or lack of professionalism, a medical expertise and judicial decision is required to know if the dentist and/or anesthesist committed a fault or not and define them as "dodgy".

I am not a dental expert, I suppose you are not either. But from my own personal experience, I have been extracted 4 dents de sagesse (incluses) in two times and by local anesthesia, so I do know that it is possible and less risky.
