Recommendations for International Health Insurances

Hello everyone,

I am looking for a good, reliable international health insurance policy for people aged 60 and over, to cover high costly medical conditions (cancer, expensive operations, transplants, etc.). I am therefore looking for a policy with a correspondingly high excess (e.g. 5,000 to 10,000 EUR), covering in-patient care only, and I only need it for Mauritius, not for other countries.

There are numerous providers, but which ones have you had good experiences with, for example in terms of claims settlement and customer support?

E.g., my search so far has revealed the following:

- Allianz Health Care: many poor reviews on Trustpilot due to slow or refused claims settlement

- AXA Global Healthcare: significant high-cost risks are excluded (kidney dialysis)

- Cigna (e.g. Silver): good, but quite expensive
