If u want holistic try  let you teeth heal itself without having a root canal, teeth is a bone, it grows back with right internal blood n external conditions, check Barbara O'Neil on utube, cleaning teeth after eating, brushing n flossing, coconut oil pulling a few times a day , make a mineral tooth paste bentonite clay, Himalaya salt, bicarbonate soda ect  to heal teeth.
