D7 visa deadline expires before the first entry.

Besides, may be good contact the embassy to extend you visa.
Also, you can come until dec 31 and your visa application will still be valid because of an intern Portuguese legislation.

From what I'm hearing SEF is extending the cutoff for their appointments because they are so backed up.  Because of your situation caused by COVID I would be very surprised if the didn't extend.  I also hear it's very difficult to get through to them and you will need to call.  Mornings are better and if you have an app that can make auto calls it helps.  Safe passage

Regarding Covid restrictions, SEF only has this info:

But if it is totally impossible for you to meet the dates set by SEF, you should inquire with the Portuguese Consulate in the country where you currently live about that situation, or get in touch with the SEF by email, although I doubt they will reply.
