Attention to all expact
Also to Johnny PT.

Hello everyone,

The validity (4months) of my D7 visa might expire before entering Portugal, currently I am in Morocco and due to pandemic situation, the authorities have closed all air space  even for foreigners (I am an Australian citizen).

My question is,
Do I have to renew my application from the start or the Portuguese consulate/ embassy provides an extension.?

Thank you for all feedback and ideas on what to do.

Marilia Moraes

Do you already has your appointment at SEF /PT?
Besides, may be good contact the embassy to extend you visa.
Also, you can come until dec 31 and your visa application will still be valid because of an intern Portuguese legislation.

If you need any major help, let me know.

Oh my word, I’m so sorry to hear this. I hope it all worked KSWB it and you don’t have any issues.

From what I’m hearing SEF is extending the cutoff for their appointments because they are so backed up.  Because of your situation caused by COVID I would be very surprised if the didn’t extend.  I also hear it’s very difficult to get through to them and you will need to call.  Mornings are better and if you have an app that can make auto calls it helps.  Safe passage

Hi Znasne,

Travel from Morocco to Portugal is allowed, but as you said, Morocco has closed its airspace:

https://www.visitportugal.com/en/conten … d-portugal

Regarding Covid restrictions, SEF only has this info:

https://imigrante.sef.pt/en/covid-19/faqs/

But if it is totally impossible for you to meet the dates set by SEF, you should inquire with the Portuguese Consulate in the country where you currently live about that situation, or get in touch with the SEF by email, although I doubt they will reply.

Hello Marilia,

Finally I entered portugal via a rapatriement flight operated by Moroccan government, I was lucky to get in.

I am in Braga now,
I went on Thursday to his office here in Braga but find only a shop in the address he gave me, I contacted him, he said that he moved to a different place.
I told him that I have to go to the appartement that we made a lease agreement and i paid for it,  but he said that we should make another lease agreement because the one we did was only to get theD7 visa.
He sent me a link of a real estate agency but they couldn't find for me anything , all full because of Christmas and New year holidays.
The problem is I am now stuck in a hotel, expensive,I don't speak the language and my SEF appointment is at 10h30 for the first week of January in Espinho.

Any idea could be of a great help.

Merry Christmas.
