Golden Visa wait time?

Hello all!

My husband Carl and I currently live in Palm Springs.
We purchased a condo in Lisbon in June and finally have completed the transaction.
The property won’t be completed until March but we’re anxious to get our visa underway.
We’ve submitted our paperwork for apostle, background check, marriage certificate etc.
Does anyone know how long the wait is for a biometrics appointments with the SEF?
Very much looking forward to living in Lisbon!

Hi,

Many delays due to the pandemic... During the pandemic, SEF was closed for a (long) period, which caused a significant delay in the visa application analysis.

However, the situation is currently returning to normal, but it can still take a few months to complete all the golden visa processes.

I don't know if this helps...

Hi,
This is the way, JohnnyPt describes it correctly.
MY wife applies for ID Cadt before start the pandemic, and receive it just some days before. Now the time ich changing and the process goes maybe quickly.
You should have patience, it is so ...
But don't wary, the "ongoing ID Residence" doesn't affect your normal life here.
