Können verb omitted in some sentences

Hi,

Why is the "können" verb omitted in some sentences? What's the name of this phenomenon so I can read more about it?

Sample:
Ich bekomme die Flasche nicht auf = I can't open the bottle

Tks,

Hi, it is not "können" which means "being able to". "Bekommen" ist something complitly different it means "to get".

Ich bekomme die Flasche nicht auf = I don't get the bottle open
Asteineba is right. There is no "phenomenon" behind this.
