I hope that this year started on a good note for all of you.

Are you looking to move abroad this year?

If so, what are your priorities as an expat-to-be in COVID times ? What are you considering in terms of destination, career and social life?

Is there any issue that made you change your mind or your project?

If you already live abroad, is there any advice you would give to expats-to-be?

Hi Veedushi,
Yes, I am planning on moving abroad (from the USA to China) this year, once I'm vaccinated and travel opens again between the two countries. Visas permitting, all that.

My plans have not changed much. I want to work in China as an EFL teacher for a year or two at the most, and then move on to Southeast Asia as a digital nomad.

Mostly, I believe this period will come to an end fairly soon.
