Used to be one of iconic airlines in USA, their plan is to reopen old hubs at JFK and MIA

He is correct. It should be a benefit for everyone involved.

They know our market from before,  starting sales 2 months before opening is not that bad

Will be interesting to watch!

So,  what is the policy if a flight is cancelled?  The fight going on in the industry is being issued a credit and not a refund.

DRVisitor

Prices on flights have been all over the place.

I can tell that for sure will be a credit, no body now gives a refund unless you buy a refundable ticket that usually is more expensive.

Goverment here soon must start to work  to lower the taxes,  when you get an offer with cheap prices check the taxes you paid and will find out that taxes paid are highter than ticket price.

Of it's only a credit then many won't be buying too far ahead of time.

There has been a lot of push back on airlines not issuing refunds.

REfunds

If you read the 2 types of ticket offered,
The refundable one has a $100 hold back - you get your money back minus $100

The refundable ticket gives free advance seating, larger seat, 2 free bags and cost $100 more

A new angle

planner

Always marketing looking for that angle..... LOL

WillieWeb

It's better than that

Dec 22 - PHL - POP is $250 on Eastern..... $350 for the refundable plus seat

Dec 21 - JFK-POP $750 on JetBlue..... not big seat -  no perks

Pretty strong !!

planner

Fingers crossed!

You mean PHL-SDQ

WillieWeb

Sorry..... yes, I do

AA used to have an SDQ/PHL route but cancelled it
Happy to have this alternative

In my example.... the POP/SDQ prices are the same
I was looking for my daughter at Christmas

Both destinations north of $700..... $800 for the premium seats
