Partner moving to NL, help with job

Hi everyone,

My partner currently lives in the UK and wants to move to the netherlands.
He has his degree for electrical engineer and has been working as.
Does anyone know if he applies for a same job here the degree and experience he has are valid, or would he have to take a new course?

Thanks.  :)

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

It would depend on whether his new job is regulated; if so he would need to get his current qualification validated.  The Dutch government have an organisation called NUFFIC who do this; this link will take you to their website.  My advice is to contact them for further advice.

Hope this helps.

Hi thanks for the fast reply! i indeed found that website yesterday, i'll contact them on monday.
I was hoping someone could tell me if they have any experience with performing this job in the NL, as i'm not sure the electricity wires and plugs etc are the same.
Thanks for the help :)

Well, my son is an Electrician - he tells me that your partner will (hopefully) know the difference.  :o
