Purchasing Hungarian property near Eger

Hello all,

My wife and I are considering buying a few acres of fruit orchards and grapes outside of Eger. First off; is there anyone currently living in Eger that I could chat with? Secondly, are there any Americans who have purchased property that wouldn't mind sharing their experiences?

Egar is a lovely area of Hungary.
My Hubby's family roots are from that area.
Do either you or your wife speak any Hungarian?
Once you leave Budapest it gets harder to find English speakers.
If you are retired with US SS, life is not bad here, how ever if you wish to work sooner or later you will find your wages aren't exactly up to pare with what you'd expect from the same sort of job in the US.
There is allot in Hungary that is much better then the US and more then a few things that are more then frustrating.
Keep us posted on your move.
I am guessing at least one of you are of HU citizenship otherwise it's going to be a bit rough.
