Keeping fit in Turkey

Hello everyone,

Keeping fit during your time in Turkey is of utmost importance. How about sharing with us and your fellow expats how you keep healthy in your host country?

What are your daily health hacks in Turkey?

Do you exercise regularly? What is your go-to sport?

Do you manage to keep your diet healthy and balanced? How easy is it to maintain a balanced diet in Turkey? Are you able to find organic products easily?

Are there national or local incentives to foster a healthy lifestyle: sensitisation campaigns, sports infrastructure etc. ?

How much of your monthly budget is dedicated to keeping fit?

Please share your experience,

Priscilla

Well, I couldn't actually.
I am getting fat and I can't stop it!!!

I visit the gym Monday - Saturday. The fee is 130TL monthly but depending on the type of gym and location.

I usually take blended banana and apple mix together with milk after gym exercise.

Creates a partner day at the gym is vital e.g. Maybe on Thursday and Friday can be exercised with a partner (friend) at the gym and that can boost motivation too.

Saturday morning can be jogging by going out to jog and go straight to the gym that same morning to do light gym.

Thanks.
