Trusting doctors in Tunisia

So far I've only had one encounter with a doctor in Tunisia. She told me that the pain in my kidney was caused by a fan in my room at night. It turned out it was a kidney stone and the whole experience made me very apprehensive about seeing doctors in Tunisia.
I have a problem with my ear now. I want a doctor to look and to tell me if perhaps I have impacted ear wax. I wanted to know if anyone here has had a similar problem with doctors using old wives tales to diagnose problems? Has anyone here had their ears cleaned in Tunisia. Has anyone here other ears cleaned outside of Tunisia?
I was wondering if anyone knew if a doctor could see impacted ear wax without a special tool. I'm worried that if I go to the doctor she'll tell me the pain in my ear is caused by the wind outside. I want to know what I should be looking for when she looks inside my ears, if for example, she needs a better tool than just the normal ear looking device.
Thanks for any advice in advance :)

Get thanks for your answer!
Can I ask a few questions?
Did the doctor recommend it?
Did you have to see a specialist?
Did you have an impacted ear wax ball?
Did the doctor see it before the cleaning?
If so did the doctor use a special tool or just the usual ear device.

Sorry for the millions of questions, I think if I'm going to see a Tunisian doctor it would be best to know exactly what should be done. I'd hate to walk away without 100% certainty that the correct steps were taken.

From my understanding of what may be wrong with my ears I cannot and should not attempt to remove the problem myself. I'm experiencing symptoms of an impacted earwax ball that is causing pain (probably infected) clicking and popping as well as slight hearing loss.
It's gone on for a few years now and my mind has taken hold of the problem and I've convinced myself it is this issue.
If I'm wrong I need to trust the doctor 100% and I'm worried I won't be able to in Tunisia :/

Hello , I am a Canadian that travels to Tunis. When I need a doctor I go to.a.lovely female in Le Kram. She is well travelled she is very good in her diagnosis. She speaks English very well.

Her office is in a white building on the sea side near the roundabout in kram she uses the pharmacy across from Bagette? Go in that pharmacy and ask
The pharmasists are fantastic and she speaks English!

There is also Hannibal clinic near the Tunisia mall..
The doctors are a hit and miss there I have been told.
