Hello - Advice on Renting in Ajijic

Hi. I’ve been an ex-pat for 13 years and my husband and I are making a move from Honduras to Ajijic this year. I want to rent in Ajijic for 6 months from November and on over the Winter, I realize this is the busy/high season so when is the best time to visit to view and secure a rental? We thought of coming in May but then thought that may be too early . Any advice would be welcome, thanks!

May is not too early to secure a rental. Basically the sooner the better will give you more options in availability. It is a good time to come if you like it warm and dry.

Thanks for the advice, I was concerned landlords wouldn’t want to commit several months in advance! We plan to spend a month there checking out the area, though we have visited before, and also securing a 6 month rental for November.
