Hi all

My husband is a Dutch national, even though he has never lived in the Netherlands before. We are planning to move to the Netherlands next year and he is in the process of applying for jobs. I have read up everything I could find on the application process for my MVV. However, I still do not have clarity on the following:

Will we be able to start the application process after 1) I have passed my inburgeringsexamen and 2)  he has a signed contract, including the salary he will earn, but before he has actually moved to the Netherlands? Or does he have to live and work in the Netherlands for a period of time before he can apply for my MVV?

1) I have passed my inburgeringsexamen.

This depends on your nationality please find out if you need to take the exam 1st or not, if you do then get prepared to take the exam, if you passed the result will be valid for one year.

2)  he has a signed contract, including the salary he will earn, but before he has actually moved to the Netherlands?

According to my understanding he must provide the following:
1) Housing Proof.
2) 1 year work contract.
3) Three month pay slips.
