Teaching jobs?

Hi all,

I live in the U.S., but I'll be moving to Oslo in the near future- my husband is there now.  I'm trying to get a sense of what job I would be able to get.  I currently tutor students with learning disabilities (I have a teaching certificate).  While I am trying to improve my Norwegian, it can best be described as poor (and I'm not being modest).

Does anyone know if schools or institutes hire non-Norwegian-speaking people to teach English?  Or if it is commonplace practice for parents to hire tutors for their children?

Thanks!
Vanessa
