Hi Evelyn

Welcome to Gozo!
sorry to hear you had some troubles with getting the legal stuff sorted, I can sympathise with you as we went thru the same  thing not that long ago.
my husband and I and our little boy have moved here (from uk) last year and we are loving it pretty much for the same reasons you have mentioned.
we live in Xaghra so if you ever fancy meeting up for a glass of wine or to take the kids to the beach let me know  :D

Slow down Evelyn!!
For someone who only arrived a few weeks ago you have done so much!
Take it slow  :) No rush for anything on Gozo.

Can't say George, I noticed that she had edited all her posts, said 'bye' and was gone.

Somebody upset her on another thread, she thought people were being over sensitive/too serious,so she edited all her posts and did one. That was a couple of weeks ago.

Hi maltaforme

glad to see you've settled well......must be a couple of years now. Anyway, would there be any chance of 'generalising' how Evelyn had been upset on another post (without causing embarrassment of course) as if there is a problem then lessons can be learnt and this type of incident can be avoided in the future. Perhaps the poster meant well, but was misunderstood, or it could have been a troll (this site has had its fair share in recent times). Either way it would be a shame to lose someone from the board, as, as I remember, she was quite gentle in her comments.

Hi Mike, due to unforseen family health problems,i"m still in blighty, but i will be in Gozo, sooner rather than later. We"ve just begun the process of selling the house.
As for the lady in question, she got fed up of the arguing on the post"what irritates you about Malta".She made a comment along the lines of lifes too short, and went.

Hi maltaforme and thanks for the quick update chap.

Sorry to see her leave (life is indeed too short), however, pleased that it wasn't a 'direct' attack against a fellow forum member. Hope she's sat on her balcony, taking in the beautiful views with a wee cheeky glass of wine.

Anyway, sorry, also, to hear about your unforseen 'doings'.......hope they get settled soon and that the house sale goes through quickly and without hitch so that you too can be enjoying the laid back lifestyle. Only managing 4 visits this year ourselves but it's getting ever closer to the move across.

All the best

Mike
