Eateries

Not much else to do in Jubail but eat and smell toxic fumes from the Industrial City, so let's talk eateries.

In the Fanatier region there are a few good restaurants.

If you want a steakhouse, try The Steakhouse, just off the Corniche.  Excellent service, great ambience (for KSA) and a decent menu, though Western-priced.

A little way up the street is the New Zealand Dairy Ice Cream Store...beats the pants off of the BR further down the street, though it has less variety.

Get 'em up, folks.  Let's talk food!

Once I arrive in Jubail, I will contribute to this thread! :D In the meantime, go on, people of Jubail, give us soon-to-be-in-Jubail people an idea of what's cooking...

It's getting hot, girl.  Damned hot.

Still cool for this time of year...but will knocking over 40C very soon.

I liked the boat house restaurant right across from there except they're renovating it right now :D
Sizzlerhouse in Fanateer mall is good too, I was surprised that this restaurant came to Jubail before Khobar (usually it's the oppposite).
Try Fargali juice..:) There's a juice called Viagra hahaha :D

Yeah, just what I need in KSA...viagra and no one to share it with.

Any other restos you recommend?

There is a great Chinese restaurant on Jeddah Street in Jubail town close to AshSharq Hotel.

The boathouse food is excellent. We never mims out at least one meal there whenever we travel to Jubail.

MM is right, the Chinese restaurant is excellent, though pricey.  There is a new "Steakhouse" out on the Corniche that is excellent, with Western prices.

There are a few "Thai restaurants" run by Filipinos with food that doesn't taste Thai (I live in Thailand, I hope I would know).

The "Boathouse" (The Yacht) is under renovations right now, waiting to see if it's still good when it reopens in the fall.

There are some decent Indian restaurants in the area, some offering Indian/Chinese/Persian fare.  And with the building up of the Fanatier area (on the water) more decent eateries are on the way.

I love to cook, so am not concerned if there isn't a great selection, but I will be out tomorrow night for dinner...just haven't decided where.

There is new restaurant going to open in next few days named (Al Bardooni Restaurant) it is Lebanese rest.
AL BARDOONI was very nice poet in Arabic Historical Culture

But really I don't know why Lebanese use this honor name which is Yemeni. :)

I tried East and West in jubail city and its really tasty...
