Hi, I am austrian and moveing from Cairo to Ryiadh this summer. I am looking for a german speaking preschool for my 4 year old son! I know that there is a school about 30 min from the DQ, where we will live, but I heared that they have a very long waiting list! Does anybody know that school?
Or maybe know some german playgroups?

Hi Andrea,

Please send me a private message and I will give you some tips. There is a mostly German-speaking Kindergymnastik class on Saturdays at one of the compounds led by 2 teachers from the German school. One is leaving at the end of summer, so I do not know if if will still continue. The German School is very popular. My daughter could not get in either for Spring of this school year because the Vorschule was full. She is enrolled for the first grade though. The German community is scattered around Riyadh, with large pockets at several specific compounds. You should meet fellow German diplo families when you attend functions at the embassy, so do not worry. Will you be working?

I'm also moving to Riyadh this summer and I would also be very interested in German playgroups or something like that. The Kinderturngruppe sounds great.

Where are you living? Did you hear something about Al Bustan Compound??

How old are your kids?
