Riyadh Business Club

Hey, not a bad idea... It'll be a good startup and thought hub. I would suggest though that while it's good to have a mix of folks, you need to do some screening too... I've seen some business clubs fall apart because they turn into networking-real life spam machines.

Yes, thats true ... i hate spammers & Time Wasters by the way...
My idea is actually to HELP eachother ...

I am a Businessman, based in riyadh, for a long time... & I see alot thats goin on in Riyadh Business Market ... like Laws change, Green Red Zone Categories, Legal stuff...
Market Disturbance in different Fields & Bla bla bla,,,

now the point is to sit together at one place & discuss these matters, to help each other... help each other in their Business, in their jobs...

like one is a guys with Furniture business, other is guy having a job in an office, where his boss is just looking to sale Furniture, thus, he could promote him...
Another guy, whose jobless, but hes talented, we might help him to hook him up somewhere useful ...

so all could benefit.

Insted of encouraging these people you are not helping at all. Well I have a good idea RealGoodBoy. I was woundering if you could gather some video games developres or fans or even amateurs. Let's start with artists, characters modelers, texturers, animators, composers(musicians), programers....etc. It's a very chalenging field. It also needs some mathematics & physics specialists.I have been looking for those kind of people around here for a long time but without any luck.Think about it & let me know if you or any one else is interested.

I feel very happy when i see people here who wanna join in .... BUT unfortunately, i have had some BAD EXPERIENCES of arranging MEET UPs or Taking this club from Just Online to REAL LIFE Club ... sometimes people join... try to come there for PERSONAL BENEFITs ... This isn't good... If all of you guys really wish & really want this BUSINESS CLUB to be Started... then I want some people from you guys... to help me ... I need VOLUNTEERS as Managers for our Club ...

Help me out to start this thing... I need some good people who can spare there time & are committed to Business Club...

How about we detail what skills each person has, then we can arrange meetings where different skills are presented to help each other.
Eg Marketing meeting where the marketing expert gives a presentation on marketing etc...

My start with my skills sets
Business development, accounting, auditing, Islamic Finance

willing to help in business plans, budgeting, accounting

I am new here and i found this place is too tough for meetups. I had bad experience of sharing my ideas with others. This is the same kind of idea happened in 2011 in kenya. Few people attended it, discussed many things had good experience sharing ideas. But what happened later is, people stopped coming and got busy making money with others idea. My own neighbor who attended it stole my idea and started saying it was his idea. The bad thing was, my idea was stolen and no benefit or profit given to me. So am sorry am out for this group. But if anyone wants to make real money as a partner, i am IN.

A  man without money cannot make his idea into reality, so he dosent get any benefit sharing his idea. The only benefit is for the one who has money, he takes your idea, makes money and he wont give you any credit.

Have been long sine, I am on EB.

I see many meet-up threads, many count ins but in reality I see most of them failing.

Real Good boy, to start with first you need to find genuine people who are interested in setting this up. So put up a date for a meet-up at a common location and see who turns up. Those who turn up, you can count them in and them take it forward with them only.

Otherwise, trust me after 20-30 threads this will be over and you will end up being frustrated.

yeah this happens usually. The guy who create an event fails to guide us to the location. How can they expect a new expat would find the location. Even those meetups failed, as no one turned up.
