i'd be down for a beer.  there's a  belgian bar up in croix rousse, near me.  if anyone is interested, pints for 4 euros before 10 pm!  i'm American, formerly living in Brooklyn before moving to Lyon with my partner who is French.

Hey Karestani,

OMG Your from Brooklyn? I am born and raised in Williamsburg. Lived for a while in Park Slope. Where in Brooklyn did you live.

I am up for drinks any time.

hello

I would like to meet for some beers too, this week or weekend

best regards

karesanti

Hey Rocky, I was born and raised in northern NJ but lived in Park Slope for 10 years.  I lived in the South Slope mostly, around 15th street & 7th ave.  Funny!

I'm best for beers on Wednesday nights but this week I'm a little booked up with work.  Maybe next week, Wed, around 7?  after work, pre-dinner drinks?

karesanti

FYI, I'm 44 so seems I'm quite a bit older than most of you posting here.

rockyn2020

Funney I lived on 7 and 9th next to the Pizza Shop. Use to go to Stienhuffs a lot at Monday 5 doller gulash :)

karesanti

ah man, of course i know steinhoff's!  i also lived on carroll street and 7th ave for 2 years and my partner lived on 6th street near 7th ave... the French guy who brought me here ;)

I was thinking Dikkenek which is in Croix-Rousse, 3 rue d'Austerlitz.  Maybe not too convenient for everyone?  If someone has a recommendation for a place in the 1st, that would work too.

6:30 on Wednesday, too early?

Hi all,

I'd love to make your happy hour, but am not arriving in Lyon until the 1st of December. Would love to meet up then if any one is around.

I'm really excited to see so many Brooklyn-ites - I've lived in the city since 1995, from the LES to Williamsburg to Carroll Gardens to the East Village to Crown Heights now...

Thanks - and hope to meet up soon!

Hi

Ok, next Wednesday then. 18h30 is a little early for me, but I should be able to make it by 19h00 or so

Best regards

rockyn2020

So what's the virdict? Are we meeting tomorrow at what time?

karesanti

Hi All, Sorry for the silence on my end.  I've got bronchitis and just returned from the doctor and pharmacist with a heap load of meds.  I'm going to out of commission for a few days at the very least.  I'm game to go for next week but hope you all meet tomorrow despite my absence.

tuienfae

Yo guys can't make it tonight! Viel Spaß!

rockyn2020

Sorry I didn't see the reply in time...

So I guess next week we can meet up?

jauri

Hi all

What about making a concrete meeting?

For example:
*Next tuesday december the 4th
*8 PM
*I propose Gumps Corner, place carnot, close to Perrache

cityvox.fr/bars-et-cafes_lyon/gump-s-corner_200032289/Profil-Lieu

What do you think?

If someone goes, I will be there at 8 PM to chat with whoever comes

We can change day to Wednesday. Starting thursday we will have Les Lumieres, so I guess it will be more difficult to meet

Also, for those interested, today there is a meeting of the facebook group English Speakers in Lyon, we meet in a bar in Vieux Lyon:

facebook.com/home.php#!/groups/englishspeakersinlyon/?fref=ts

Join if you feel like, I will be there!!

Best regards
