Hi everyone,

A friend and I are starting a new American/French club and want to invite you to an informal picnic at Parc de la Tete d'Or next Sunday, Sept 25.  Please meet us at noon just inside "Porte des Enfants du Rhone" at noon.  Just bring your own picnic, beverages, blankets, play things for kids, games, etc... and your willing and open attitude to meet others!
In case of inclement weather, we will have the picnic on Sun, Oct. 2.
Please let me know by Friday, Sept 30 if you plan on coming!

Thanks and I hope to see you there!

Christine

Hi Marylyon,

Welcome to Expat.com! :)

Are you suggesting an Expat.com meet up in Lyon?

Well I'll be back in Lyon late January-late February and would love to meet everyone!   If not a picnic in the park, perhaps a soirée at a pub.   If anyone has suggestions, let me know.   I'm open :)

Xenia18

Hi Xenia,   if you're interested, there's a pub meet up coming up on Tuesday.   We're meeting at Berthom near Hôtel-de-ville at 6pm (though some, including me, will probably come more towards 7pm).    Feel free to join!   There is more information in this thread (towards the bottom)  https://www.expat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=99155&p=2
