French employers look at your name before looking at your CV, and if it sounds non french well you have a lot of chances to get the job

Well, most German employees will look at your CV not your name.
They might look at your background though and ask questions in an Interview.
But if you have the right qualifications to the job, I doubt the name will be a problem.
But then, I might be wrong.
I'm away from Germany since six years and a lot might have changed since then.

Chrifus1982: I have had exactly the same problems in France over the last few years. My career wasn't moving anywhere and I constantly had the impression that I was run over by people with little or no talent or qualifications but in possession of a French passport, surname, and lots of political connections.

A month ago I started applying for similar jobs in Germany and they snapped me up.

Conclusion: go for it.

PS: salaries are 50-100% higher in Germany as well.
