hi everyone

Is it acceptable/safe to visit people in other compounds?

Ackeles

which compounds?
most compounds you need an invitation from someone lives inside to enter it.

and if you have an invitation?

Alliecat

If it's somebody you have met and gotten to know in real life, yes, it's safe.

If it's somebody you don't know and haven't met first in public, don't do it OR bring a friend and meet in a 'common area' in the compound.

Just use common sense like you would at home.

Thank you very much. So it is common people visiting each other in compounds and not get arrested, right?

Alliecat

No, you're okay visiting in a western compound, no problem with the Saudi authorities.  But practice common sense visiting people you don't know.
