Likewise -- Happy New Years everyone!

I hope to be celebrating this night in Malta next year... and I will feel right at home with the barrage of fireworks -- they go a little overboard with them here in the Netherlands! (though technically they are only allowed to buy/use fireworks for about a week between xmas & NYE).

Just having a quiet night in this year, mostly due to my dog who is still recovering from surgery a few weeks ago, so I'll be ringing in the NY with comedy movies, champagne, take-out dinner and my boyfriend.

Happy New Year/Gelukkige Nuwe Jaar to everyone. Hope there are no unwelcome surprises around the corner - although it is the dreaded 2012! Hope to be joining you later this year - daunting but exciting. From the deep south - tip of Africa, where it is hot and sunny - sorry!

Here's to a great year ahead for Expats in Malta, especially all the very helpful ones on this Blog. Also to those that have taken the 'big step' and are on their way to Malta in 2012. We will be arriving after the London Olympics as we have committed ourselves to our retail employer to remain and support them through this fantastic event - not that we mind, it will be awesome.
Biddy, and other South Africans already in Malta, Gelukkige Nuwe Jaar, alles vsn die beste:D
