Having recently escaped the floods in Asia and expecting a bit of sunshine in Sosua, have to say rather disappointed by the weather here.
Sunday absolutely atrocious, been raining real heavy all day- actually flooding outside looking out of the window!....deja vu Cambodia :-(
Whatever happened to short tropical showers!!
Forecast dont look much better either!
Is it always this bad, at this time of year?

The rainy season here may or may not appear at all. Last three years were exceedingly dry.... traditionally the tropical summer begins to slow in its assault by about October 1 and runs through May 1.... this weather system has been persistent and unusual.

This is rainy season and this year so far it is rainy season. Still up till the last couple of days we have had lots of sunshine during the day with some heavy showers in the early morning and late afternoon as well as overnight.
Today some sun but mostly clouds and now at 4pm local time some very very heavy rain. The pool is overflowing.

Yeah does seem rather heavy,cant be much fun for the locals either like beach vendors, not many tourists will be out in this downpour and their takings must be zero today,
