Moving from the UK to live with my Dutch partner

Hi, thanks for your post. Not really sure exactly what your question is here, but generally whatever the IND says can be trusted (and certainly more trusted than advice from the internet).

If your question is whether you have to leave the Netherlands once you are here, I don't have specific advice for you but GENERALLY most countries give you leeway to stay until there's a decision once you have a change of residence status pending, as long as you don't leave the country and try to come back.

If your question is whether you can leave for another EU country once you are in the Netherlands, again this is more general advice. If you land at Schiphol for example you have 90 days to go anywhere within the Schengen zone -- keeping in mind that not all of the EU is in the Schengen zone, and there are countries in the Schengen zone that aren't in the EU. You could leave the Netherlands and go to France and Belgium and back to the Netherlands and there's no traditional immigration procedures passing into those countries. Although you WILL want to have your passport on hand showing that you entered the Schengen zone within 90 days because authorities obviously have the right to ask you for identification.
