Travelling from India to New Zealand to Australia

Hi

I have Australia (dependent visa, my wife company initiated) and NZ (business visa, my company initiated) both of which i applied and received from India. I have never been to Aus or NZ before. I'm planning to travel to NZ first.

2 question

Wanted to know, if I can travel from India to NZ and then from NZ to Aus or is it mandatory to come back to India from NZ and then travel to Aus, since I will be travelling to Aus for first time and on dependent visa, and both my visa's were applied from India.
Can I travel to Australia before my wife(main visa applicant) does?

I don't see any issue of travelling from NZ to Aus or the other way since you already have the visas.

Regarding question 2, I suggest you contact the embassy and enquire.
