Hi I had a lawyer but noisy I’m not so sure so I wouldn’t recommend him atm. The name is Jeromino Finestra, a nice guy but inconsistent. I am out in PY in February for a month.

Reprising my last post about the inconsistent approach. I think that this is a very ‘Western’ take on Jeronimo Finestras service. He gets it done but the Anglosphere expects things done - yesterday. In PY you need to be tranquilo and wait for it to happen. Jeronimo has sorted my temporary residence out and has now processed my CEDULA - needless to say I am a happy bunny. It got a bit stressful until I tuned into Latino mode. I’m in Asuncion until Monday the 3rd. if anyone would like to meet up.

@mendac     Does that mean you have the actual cedula card already? I am also using Jeronimo and am having trouble moving into "Latina mode". I am flying in on the 4th of March so just missed the meetup with you.

Not yet in my mitts. All the process work is done but the turn over time is 30 to 50 days which means thatit will be posted to me. Here's a vlog that may explain zs there's been a recent process  change.

Have you received your cedula yet? It has been 41 days since my application was submitted and no cedula yet. I am getting the run around from Finestra law about my cedula.

Me too, Jeronimo has not contacted me since I left PY in early March or replied to my recent inquiry in over three weeks. Mine was submitted on the 13th. of February 2025.  I know someone who was out there at the same time as you, more or less, undertaking the same process but with a different lawyer. The lawyer checked that mine WAS in the workflow so it has been submitted. He’s asked her to check the status again. I will let you know the result. I’m am aware that there are currently systemic delays within this department. I would think that yours has also been submitted.

So he hasn't replied to your inquiry in over three weeks? I have been staying here in Paraguay to pick up the cedula personally - my application was submitted on March 7th. Jeronimo Finestra told me he thought he could get my cedula within 20 days - it is now 41 days. He hasn't answered my last two inquires either - I almost contacted the Paraguayan bar today to complain about him. I would appreciate any update you provide. The fact that you haven't received yours yet concerns me greatly.

Jeronimo told me that it could be 40 to 50 days but I believe that the department has delays, maybe due to the new digital system no in operation. If you are out there you can check the progress of your CEDULA. In person. If you know a Spanish speaker it would be better. How long are you out there for?

Thanks for your reply. I don't know how long I will be here - I have lost hope in getting the cedula anytime soon. So I may leave Paraguay next week.

It may be more expedient but before leaving,  at least visit the department (with a Spanish speaker if you can) and check that it is in the workflow. If you want to keep in touch off-forum pm me and I’ll message you With my WhatsApp details.

You have used them yourself ?

Recent changes in "Migraciones" of Paraguay and my experience working during 1 year with residency agencies led to this conclusion: as of today, there is only one agency able to deliver residency and cedula in one trip under 60 to 90 days (100% legit, obviously) with full trust and guarantees.

Don't get me wrong, many agencies still market this exact same thing, but, again, only one really delivers.
