The Gringo Hunters

Characteristics of the Gringo hunters.

These women are typically in their 20's

and beautiful. They keep themselves fit,

not subscribing to the "big is beautiful"

standard that has permeated some

countries. Before age 30, almost all of

the Gringo hunters have gotten married

to a Gringo and are starting families.

During their hunting years in the big

cities of Colombia, "they go to

language exchange classes, salsa bars

and salsa classes which cater to foreigners.

They hang out at hostels and show up at

Expat nights. They learn English and like

opportunities to chat up guys in English

and other foreign languages....

"These women understand that they are

in a competition" with other Gringo hunters

and that the hunters far outnumber the

available Western men who visit Colombia

often for short periods of time.

Dating coach Saiyan Chan's observations

about Colombian Gringo hunters.

"These women realize they are in a

competition -- a global one -- for men...

"These girls know that in order to

compete for men, they need to look good

in the country of Colombia... and they are

serious about maintaining their beauty

and physical fitness."

They are generally more aggressive in

seeking out a Gringo partner than are

non-hunter women of Colombia or

"Western women."

"They know that good men are in

scarce supply, especially in their country.

So they will be aggressive and they

will approach and they will compete

and they will clearly make their

interest known. They will not be playing

hard to get.

not be shy or reserved."

Sex as a tool, sex as a weapon.

The Gringo hunters use their sexuality

with "shock and awe," says Saiyan Chan,

love-bombing their target and

"giving it up quickly, locking these guys

down fast before these guys get

snatched up by another Colombian

Gringo hunter."

Because foreign men often visit

Colombia for a limited time, the

Gringo hunters tend to have

"a high body count," says Chan,

"sometimes alarmingly high."

He estimates that over 90 percent

of the Gringo hunters get married

to a Gringo, typically moving to the

new husband's country where they start

having babies, "far from the swamp

that is the dating market."

The key is that the Gringo hunter

takes care of the Gringo in a way

that a "modern woman" never would,

including cooking and cleaning.

So the guy thinks 'Holy moley', this is

the best woman ever .. and they marry.

Her past is not an issue.

Chan concludes that the only loser

is this scenario is a "modern woman"

who is left alone and wondering,

Where have all the good men gone?

Just went to a local small food establishment here in Idaho USA, town size 5,000, my 1st time there with the new owners. All the women working there had anywhere from 10 to almost complete body tattoos, only 1 out of 4 of them was slender. I would guess their ages were 25-40. With the current state of Oprah mind dementia here in the USA with our women trying to find someone decent to date can be a serious challenge. I have a boy that is a manager with Google, single, well educated, good looking, saves his money and has a live in girlfriend who wants a baby and to get married. He asked me for advice, I told him that he would be lucky to have a 50 percent chance of it working and he would be liable for alimony, her gaining rights to his 401K, house, child support, health insurance coverage, basically a huge hit on his retirement plans. Better to find your Colombian Honey but keep her in Colombia and just make your trips. A sad state of affairs when you have to run defense in your every move in trying to find a decent partner.

Having a young American woman that you actually truely like and that wants to have your babies and get married isn't something I would dismiss off hand.

My advice would have been a bit different....Have the baby then consider getting married. Nothing beats having kids and they are ultimately the most important part of your life as you get older.

The only way to minimize the potential of having to pay child support is to have a vasectomy and plan on going extinct or having children in a country like Colombia and letting them grow up with the "Si Dios Quiere" mentality.

I don't know what state you son lives in but some states just don't award alimony much anymore.

But every guy should go see an estate planning, asset protection attorney before gettting married.

I'm 61 my Colombian wife is 35 and our daughter is five.

All of my appreciable assets are in irrevocable trusts that will go to my children upon my death. There are really very few assets that are part of my marital estate.

It's a bit tricky to protect yourself from a divorce later on when you are younger and accumulating assets. But there are ways to do it. Instead of your son putting all of his investments in a 401K that is in his name.... you and your son could setup a partnership LLC in Wyoming and have it own his investment accounts.

There's "hordes of simps" in Colombia as well, from the US, Canada, and Europe, and that's a lot of the problem. Once a girl has three or four chumps sending her money she has it made and is off the market. But this new breed of Youtube "influencers" that are multiplying faster than rabbits usually haven't a clue and are living the good life in Medellin putting out a video a week, and especially off fools who sign up for their "courses."

Also, if the USA has a bigger presence in Colombia, it's gonna turn into Costa Rica: overpriced, obesity everywhere, and thus a much smaller percentage of attractive in-shape women. This will drive up (sky-high) the price of dating AND everything else.

Imagine Cartagena or Poblado area in Medellin... but the whole country

The economy around the world has had high inflation, and any touristic city has the airbnb problem. My sister lives in new orleans and they just passed a law which only allows 1 airbnb per block. The cities put pressure on airbnb to enforce but their more websites to post on.
