Salento puts you in the close proximity of Armenia and fiefdom of QI. If you can't find anything in Salento, you might consider Pueblo Tapao, which is revered by Qi and his follower Mike Jarvis who currently resides there. It is apparently known for its boutique bakeries and lack of fiber optic internet.

What I found is , in Bucaramaga stay faor a couple nights, talk to the owner and you can arrange a monthly rate at half the price or less. Could probably do the same in Salento

On AirBnB, you can select monthly, and often get a 30-40% discount for doing so....  I've done it elsewhere, but not Salento....

If an Expat wants to stay for a month or months

is more likely to find a preferable rental rate.

Salento is a major tourist stop with do-not-miss

scenic views nearby.  So savvy property owners

easily learn they can get premium short-term rents

from weekenders and others briefly passing through.

In some Colombian cities, signing up for more than 27

days via AirBnB will net up to a 40 percent discount,

but will obligate the renter to forfeit most of the

pre-payment if the rental needs to be canceled.
