Argentina residency

alwish1

Unfortunately, the question that I have is not addressed directly in the links provided. Here we go again: if I were to travel to Buenos Aires and received a tourist visa for 90 days, would it be possible to switch to a temporary residence visa? Thanks in advance. I am an American citizen.

Thanks for your quick response, jwoddis.  Do I understand you correctly that once I am in the country, after the tourist visa expires, I can proceed with applying for a temporary visa?

Much obliged.

Hello alwish1,

I don't think so...

rubilar_abogados and jwoddis are two different accounts.

Thanks for clarifying. It maybe my newbie status, but I'm intrigued by one person answering the first question and a second responding to the second question addressed to the first. The mystery deepens because you came in to explain the identities of the two respondents. Beginner's luck perhaps? 1f617.svg
