Moving to Tuxpan, what can I expect?

Hola fellow expatriates!

Currently I live in Manzanillo, Colima and have been here for 2 years. My boyfriend and I (and our dog) are getting ready to move to Tuxpan for his job. We don't know much about the area at the moment, what can we expect? Is there an established expat community? Where are the best barrios to live?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

good morning from Dubai

All signs are now pointing to Tuxpan, Mexico as my husband is assigned to a project there. It’s a bit tricky to gather information about living and working there and I am reaching out to gather as much as possible. I know it’s a completely different lifestyle to what we are used to here in the UAE, but as this will be country no. 9 we absolutely do not mind. Thanks in advance
