Anyone know of Dibba Oil & Gas Cortporation?

The website indicates spam.  No company, least of all an oil & gas company, would ask a prospective employee to pay for anything.  Almost certainly this is a scam, watch out!

I received an offer of employment+ the request for payment for work visa. I called the ONLY telephone number of the company and my questions were not answered. I called the travel agent in charge of work visa and he did not give me a direct answer why the money is going to an individual and not the company!!

Dibba Oil and Gas of Dubai, UAE may be a legit company or a front for another Nigerian Scam, because I too was contacted and asked if I was interested in a position in Dubai, and within 2 days, I received a contract after answering a questionnaire, without speaking to anyone and then was requested to pay $1450 for a work/resident visa in advance, with promise to reimburse.  However, the visa application that was sent, had a form number INN-22, which did not look legit, and when I googled the form number, it turned out to be a Visa Application for Nigeria.  Then when I saw they wanted money wired via Western Union, the light bulb went off, and I realized this truly is a bogus scam, almost brilliantly executed, with the exception of them asking for monies upfront!  Who pays for a work visa these days, that's an employer's responsibility, not the employee.  I'm just sorry it took me that long to realize it was a scam.  I had even called the phone number to speak to Mr. Taher, at a Dubai phone number, asking him about the contract clauses and particularly about the work visa.  Quite convincing, I have to say, but I was still skeptical, and am so glad to have researched the form, comparing it to the VISA application found online thru the UAE Embassy.  PLEASE BE WARY of this Company and Contract they provide as incentive to join them.  You'll notice too, that there is no clause referencing Termination!  Truly a SCAM.  Shame on those involved in such a white collar crime!

The appointment letter are build up from some Nigerian people.
Any company will ask you for payment for your visa, no company will send you a apointment letter without any interview at the first step.

Tony:  Good on you for reporting to the authorities.  I've written a message to the UAE Embassy in Washington DC alerting them to this extortion scheme. Don't know if something will be done, but glad to hear you did something positive.

A job offer when it cames to you easily, without interview or calling certainly it's not serious. There are many virtual companies on the web confirming the e-mail from the sender information on the web. There is a pattern questionnaire well known that I have never filled because it doesn't matter considering the fraud. Be aware!

I was also contacted by Dibba Oil and was sent a contract draft, with flowery decorations at the sides, after i filled up the online questionnaire interview which was similar to what i received from Crescent petroleum, a legit company registered in UAE. Said online questionaire just popped up in my inbox and has a message that my papers were forwarded by their consultant Monster. Crescent petroleum has a warning that certain organization are copying their paper works. Out of my curiousity I called Dibba number and somebody answered. When i asked about their exact loaction i was told to use email for all querries then hung up. Didnt bother to call the supposed visa processing company since when i googled it, it is connected to Tourism works in UAE. Right there in then i know it was a fake.
I got my flowery contract draft last July 24, 2013 and another one last July 27, 2013. No company will prepare two contracts with the same details on it. Never knew it was a Nigerian scam till now.

I have had an offer from Dibba Oil and Gas as well as Crescent Petroleum.  Both offers were almost identical.
Having worked previously in the UAE I check with friends and was advised both offers are a scam, no interview took place and you should not be paying up front for visas.
