Concern, I wish I had an answer. No, doctor did not say, just said I was HBsAg negative, not carrier. I do feel very, very fortunate - praying all of you get what you need to be able to stay/work from the new law.

Ope, 33 years ago I had HepB, very sick in the hospital and at home. After I recovered, I just lived my life like normal - married, 3 children. I never really thought about it until now, looking at a job in the UAE. I did not want to get all the way over and find out they would send me home so I took the test here, in the USA, just to see. I feel more and more humble after reading everything that you all are going through. Thank you so much for answering my question.

Medical testing center in ajman thursday they already got the paper of new law regarding hep b ...the only six catagories will be tested as we all know...

my wyf colleague husband works in hospital n he him take blood for test... so i got the authentic news n hope it will be true also...

so sailing hope fully u will go for second test as per law and will not be tested for hep b.....

only the possiblity may be they will test you again coz you applied for medical before the law implemented... but got is great he will help all of us....

It will be a good idea then we will be able to talk and help each other not only here in UAE but also the other countries where pple living with Hepatitis are being discriminated same as Perdanasiswa suggested before.

I will like to say that God has a reason for everything how you got this you don’t know and many of us we cant explain it but let us face it encouraging more research to find the complete cure coz if there is a vaccine for prevention then for curing it mast be found is only that most medical researchers are concentrating with Aids, Good luck OPE and don’t give up God is with us and let us keep knocking and the door will be opened for us once again.

As long as you are a legal resident, there is no issue. As part of admission to any hospital you will be asked to provide proof of health insurance and residence permit. The fact that you are HBV carrier is irrelevant if you have a valid residence permit.

That is correct. I did that for my children, one daughter and one son within 24 hours after they were born. I am a hep B carrier.
