Question Of The Day
i thought its a funny question!
frantic twitching and scratching would probably be on the cards as well... Sheer terror at the monster aracnid ... I hate bugs and creepy things yuk, traumatised just thinking about it ...Maya Maya wrote:If you woke up in bed and saw a huge spider walking over you, what would you do?
i thought its a funny question!
HEART ATTACK! <<< ME HATE SPIDERS!!!
i guess i would just move it aside
However, if a spider, I will keep it moving, follow it to find it's house, and kill the whole family.
like what do they eat and do you have to have a special home for them
imraan007 wrote:no ways@Alliecat. pet tarrantulas, they cant be cute :p

Well the interesting thing about tarrantulas is they, in theory, don't 'eat.' What they do is suck out the insides of their prey and leave a dry shell behind. You can keep them in an aquarium with a heat rock but have a tight screen lid.
My favorite was a Mexican Red Knee but I've also had several Mexican brown legs that I actually caught in Arizona and brought home with me. You can't keep them all together because the males will kill each other and I never could distinguish between the males and females--they don't seem to have external genitals?
Anyway, the Mexican Red Knee, named 'Fang,' escaped once and was missing for a couple weeks. Finally found him one day upstairs, in a closet!!
imraan007 wrote:Interesting creature and hobby. I like the way they eat but I have a small silly q. Are they lethal and how do they procreate? R they as huge as they look on tv
Okay, since their legs are never 'out-stretched,' they will fit in the average sized adult palm. They're about as lethal as a bee sting, meaning if you're alergic you can die. You can pick them up easily like you'd pick up a crab--from the back, between the legs so they can't swing around.
Never saw any procreation BUT something interesting is that they shed their skin once a year. First time it happened, I jumped a foot as I thought there were suddenly TWO Fangs in his tank. One was the skin he had shed, which was basically an almost exact replica of himself!
imraan007 wrote:wow...i am just amazed that we have so many millions of creatures in this world and we know so little about them. their abilities are just mind boggling (to me that is
Yeah .. wouldn't it be neat if humans shed their skin once a year? We'd all look GREAT! No scars, no blemishes, no wrinkles
imraan007 wrote:i dont get freaked so much with spiders (unless it is hairy)
