I would like to remove money from the world. It's the cause for all evil.

Helping Others and sharing!

Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing?
FBGM

what i believe in and doing!
I'm doing what settles the bills!! What I believe in happens on my days off.
Doing exactly as I believe in, else why would I land up in this Country
Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things?

Maya Maya wrote:

Doing the right things....on right time.

I always do the right thing by default. So my worries are only about doing the things rightly.
This is a thoughtful question in fact. When you are driving a situation/matter/business/organization, you are supposed to do right things

Vs

When you are hired to drive, you are supposed to do things right.
And when it comes to work, my worry (or my boss's) is to do it on time :D

What if I don't know what I'm hired for
I mean my boss has one objective, and my super boss (boss's boss) has another one.

If the one hired doesn't know of the objectives he is hired for, he must promptly ask for his roles and resposibilties documentation. That will be doing the right thing. (His authority came into play, though quite a limited one.)

Your boss must do what your super-boss needs him to do. So your boss must be doing the things right ;)

This is how I see the question. Thoughts?
I report to both these bosses.

My company's objective is to make people happy. I think this is more easy to follow than my roles and responsibilities ;)

At times, I feel so lost.
You’re having lunch with three people you respect and admire.  They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend.  The criticism is distasteful and unjustified.  What do you do?
Talk about the positive traits of that person, and tell them how he / she has done in a particular situation that can totally change their opinion on the friend.
@Maya: Are these questions directly related to your real life situations ??

No one can talk ill of my friends in front of me. I believe this is one of our friends' right towards us. Now if this happens, I'll let them know that the 3rd person is my friend. Then I'd defend my friend if I know of the situation well which they are talking about. If I don't know, I'd try/insist to get the topic changed. Getting protected is something our friends need from us even if they were not there physically.

A true friend should finish the lunch and see to it that the bill has been paid, and then defend his / her friend :P

Otherwise they'd put the bill on you.

If the questions are inspired from real life situations, then the answers should be practical and close to real life :D
I generally hate gossip so If I do hear it I try to mention the third person,s good habits so that this crowd gets the message in a nice way to change the subject...learnt this trick from my mom :)
@Imran007: Not a gossip, it could be relating to official matters, personal traits, behaviour, etc.

Agree with your answer though. I've often done that. Where did I get it from Mom / dad ?
Hey...official matters isn't gossip. Agree in this case business is business and it's not good idea to mix personal matters at the workplace. In a business friends become strangers.
