i am experiencing that as well. but it doesn't get into me much, now, maybe i have taken down notes well, even before moving to this country where people talk more, drink chai and coffee more and chitchat more, than WORK, but they take all the credit. give them the credit, but always make sure that your work is visible to your boss/supervisor, otherwise, you might get fired because they might think you are not doing anything.
