Living in Winterthur? suggestion

Hello,

I will be moving to Switzerland soon. My work will be close to Schaffhausen and I am now considering if I should live in Zurich or in Winterthur. I really hate spending time in commuting so my first idea would like to stay in Winterthur...any suggestion about it?
Is it nice? is it fine living there or you would suggest avoiding it?
what is there to do in witerthur? anyone living there who could help me out?

Hi, sorry I'm a bit late... If you haven't decided yet, I can definitely recommend Winterthur. Nice atmosphere, big enough to have city amenities, small enough to be personal, live in the city and be close to nature, nice cultural life, 175 km of bicycle paths, 25 minutes from Zurich
