I am currently living and working in Milton Keynes, England. My job is in construction as a carpenter, dry linerand ceiling fixer.
I have 8 years experience after two years of college. I have travelled many countries and have been visiting Paris alot the past year due to my love of the city and my parisian girlfriend. So the dream is to do the job i love in the city i love and be with my girlfriend.
My one failing is that my french is still weak but i am starting to put alot more effort into this so by time im there this should not be a problem. I have also done part time bar tending which i enjoy as it is very social and keeps you busy. I hope for an opportunity to prove myself and make a dream come true
Nice to meet you all.
I'm new here so just wanted to say hello and hopefully make some new connections.
Looking forward to hearing from people local to Toulon : )

I'm Beth, living in Paris and taking Norwegian classes in preparation to do business in Norway. I speak English and French and would like to practice speaking Norwegian with a native in everyday situations.
My hobbies are varied including cultural events, sports, cinema and volunteer work.
Thanks!
I am currently living and working in Saudi Arabia. I work in the Industrial sector. Looking for any job opportunity that makes me close to my boys again. I have two boys David & John both studying in Paris.
My French is fair but by practice I can make it better. I hope for an opportunity to prove myself and spend more time with my boys.
Regards,
Just moved to La Couronne, Angouleme from Northern England. Main reason being to relocate with my partner whilst he studies in aviation with Airbus. My French language is very much beginners level so I am enquiring about free courses offered to immigrants here.
I don't yet know anyone in this area and have struggled with my French understanding in conversations with others for obvious reasons - but if you are in the area near to me feel free to get in touch! I am always available for coffee etc.
I am trained in Holistic/Complementary therapies however I'm not sure how this translates in France or if they call it something else entirely.
Thanks, Jess

,I am Sri Ram and I am new here. Just wanted to greet everyone and hopefully make some new friends. Hope everyone stays safe during this pandemic.
I am a small businessman from India. I am into hospitality industry since 2011, running a small hotel and a few B&B's. I have been to Paris and Midi-Pyrenees regions for a few times and I love the Pyrenees region. I am researching about starting a few service apartments/B&B/ in the Midi-Pyrenees region. Would like to make new connections in this region.
I appreciate your valuable suggestions and looking forward to hear from people around this region.
Good Day.....
Sri.

I'm Laura, from the UK, moved to Paris in February to join my french boyfriend here. I was studying to improve my french at Lutece Langue before the confinement and have continued self teaching since then. Currently immersed in the french language as we moved in with family for the confinement period.
I'm currently seeking a role in marketing but flexible, and have 7 years experience from London based marketing agencies. I have a Bac, but am finding most roles require a masters.
Any international roles out there? My french is intermediate level but I'd feel most comfortable working in English.
Also looking at living around Enghien les Bains area, but currently in Saint-Leu-la-forêt and looking to make some connections!
Bonne journée
Laura
I'm Loïc from the moderation team and it's a pleasure to meet you

Also, due to the situation nowadays, the events in France are canceled or postponed, but stay tuned if you want to meet people in France

Wishing you both a great day.

Je suis Toni ( aka lulu). I live in the US in Wilmington, North Carolina at this moment , but I’ve been actively plotting my escape the last two years to most likely the Gard district as I have friends in Uzès. To that end, (pre-Covid) after Hurricane Florence, I took early retirement and developed a small immersive travel company called VagaBonding (travel with friends). I was off to a great start, first group taken to Uzès and the surrounding area last September was a success...And then the world changed. I am hoping to make another trip ( solo) once the borders open again, hopefully by Octoberfor 30 days, fingers crossed, but must return for our *very* important election. I am a writer and most recently a working photographer and interior designer. In. truth a Jill of all creative trades. I’ve done a lot of my homework in terms of transferring my Social Security etc. I am quite a fru “gal” and after living in two large cities (New York City and Atlanta, love New York , hated Atlanta) my trips over the last six years to that area feed my soul. So any tips in this changing world on how to get there sooner would be appreciated. At present I am looking at, if I can keep the travel business afloat online, I’m looking at right now 90 there and 90 here idea. To get ball rolling. I have been looking at various visa options, and I’m being advised by a friend who is an expat that has gained her residency card. Sorry for longwinded intro....or what you do on a pot o’tea!
Thank to all, à bientôt!

My name is Hana. I am originally from the Czech Republic but have moved to UK around 23 years ago now. I started working as an au pair, then nanny, followed by healthcare assistant in a hospital, which finally led to me training in UK as a nurse. I am currently working as a nurse practitioner but am looking to move to France. I love the culture, the pace of life and the somehow simplicity to life that France has to offer. I would love to speak to and meet similar minded people who have already made this giant step and perhaps would like to share their experience and wisdom with me, in order to make me better prepared. Looking forward to hearing from you.
