Motorbikes

Just wanted to ask a bit of a random question is there any ladies that ride motorbikes in Bulgaria? Have you ever seen a female on a bike or no of someone who rides a bike?

Yes, women ride motorbikes in Bulgaria, and female rider communities and groups are active across the country, not sure if there are English speaking ones though.

I don't think I've seen anyone riding a proper motorcycle in our area, male or female! Mopeds in town, and electric or small petrol engine powered mountain bikes in the country, but real motorbikes, no. If you're going to live outside the city and travel on non-main roads, expect some bumpy rides!

Certainly in our region, even town roads can be rough, and village roads can be more fit for a trail bike than anything else. But our house is in a remote village in a very agricultural region. The main roads would generally be fine for riding.

Hubby intends to get a motorcycle when we finally can move here (still waiting on the visa), despite the road conditions!

Yeah, I’m planning to bring a bike out not the one I have currently as it’s big and if I drop it, I can’t pick it up. This is only happened a couple of times, but even so I don’t know if people in Bulgaria will just leave me and not help. I’m not sure I might just buy something smaller and ride that around. 😄
