Company query by jeanmandredeix

We are here on Visa D retirement from UK and I have noticed that our electricity and water bills are in the dormant company name.Is this correct? Or should it be in my name?

janemulberry

How frustrating! Yes, it certainly is an experience! You could alternatively set it up in epay. Once it's all set up, it's very easy and they email immediately a bill is due. I haven't had any issues with it in over three years.I prefer knowing ... Read More

Goodness, that is complicated! And I thought our VIK was antiquated! Getting it changed over from the previous owner's name was a challenge requiring two visits to the VIK office in Toshevo and every bit of paperwork I possessed. But she gave me the ... Read More

That was pretty much my view, too. We have enough other hassles to deal with. Mostly four-legged -- we currently have ELEVEN kittens making their unauthorised homes in our house and garden! If the bills seem excessive or I have clear evidence ... Read More

Medical treatment in BG by JimJ

I'm glad you're home! I was wondering earlier whether you'd managed the jailbreak, and if so, how you managed the 77 steps. Well done! Prayers for your continued complete and far lower pain recovery! Read More

Mine both are too. I think that's because legally, the company owns the property. Presumably with the notarised document we need for the D visa/residency stating that the company gives us permission to live in the property we could get that ... Read More

D Visa Guidance by gwynj

INTRODUCTION I have posted much of this information in reply to several forum posts, but I think it might be helpful to have it one place. Following Brexit (and the end of the Transition period i.e. from 1/1/21), British citizens now need to apply ...

Oh dear! I am sorry. Praying for your recovery, and for the health care you are getting to be a bit -- or a LOT! -- better. Read More

@sammibenfell18 Yes, it's much more complicated after Brexit! Also the law on Foreigners in Bulgaria was updated in June last year changing some of the rules, so even how someone else tells you they got residency post Brexit but a couple of years ... Read More

Question re translated documents for D visa by janemulberry

I'm trying to get my D visa paperwork sorted out as quickly as possible, but have a problem with delays getting my apostilled documents back. I know I need to submit apostilled documents, but the question is, does the translation need to be done on ...

janemulberry

Thanks Alan! I'd intended to try to do it myself, but as time passes and the 6 months for the ACRO validity gets shorter and shorter with waits for apostilles and translation, I think I may go with using an immigration lawyer. If I mess up and have ... Read More

Current vs old pension letter-D visa/residence permit renewal by Sleep Near

Hello, I am looking for some information re: renewing the D visa and using the original apostilled pension letter. Do you need a new letter every time you renew the D visa/ residence permit?

janemulberry

Ouch! From what I hear, experiences at migration offices do vary widely and what one office (or one official) will accept, another don't. Were they able to resolve the issue? Read More

Unless there's some issue like you didn't apply for residency while the D visa was current, or didn't stay enough days in Bg to meet the residency rules, my understanding is that you don't need to go through then entire D visa process again.Applying ... Read More
