Airport Question - ETA situation

I am having to fly to UK in a couple of weeks and am going from Bucharest. As I will be alone I want to ensure I don’t encounter any problems so this will be first time with a residency, so, what is the situation with the ETA? We had photos and fingerprints done about 18 months ago at ferry port at Hook of Holland.

Good question! I am following to see what the answers are, as we've also considered flying from Romanian airports.

If you have a residence permit for any EU country, and hold a British passport you are exempt from ETA and all the new rules.

All you do is, show your residence card and passport, that is it.
